Studio Policies

Attendance

Attendance is monitored each week. Dancers are encouraged to show up consistently and on-time as this promotes a strong work ethic and will give each dancer the best results as it relates to their training.

Rehearsals leading up to any performance are mandatory. Too many absences could result in being removed from community performances or recital.

Enrollment

You may enroll in classes via the online software or in person at the studio. Payments can be made by card through our software or can be dropped of at the studio in cash or check form. Our apologies, we do not accept AMEX.

There is a non-refundable registration fee due upon registration for each family. For new families, the fee is $50 (with 1-3 dancers) or $60 (with 4+ dancers). For returning families, the fee is $35 (1-3 dancers) or $45 (4+ dancers). There's no registration fee for Summer classes.

We hope Artistry Dance Alliance becomes your home! However, if a studio or company policy is violated, it would be grounds for student dismissal. Artistry has the right to dismiss a student if the relationship is no longer meeting the needs of the dancer’s family or the studio management team.

Recital

We have one Recital in the Spring for all students. We'll also have smaller performances throughout the year that will be optional. They include events such as the Winter Festival. Information for these events will be sent via email. Recital is mandatory if enrolled in the class. Not all weekly classes will have a recital routine. Please note that any class labelled a Technique Only class under Class Descriptions will not be in recital.

Dancers will be charged a non-refundable Recital Fee per student in the fall. This covers entry for the dancer and 2 additional guests. Tickets will be available for purchase closer to the recital.

Our SZN9 Recital will be May 31, 2025.

Insurance/COVID-19

Artistry Dance Alliance does not carry medical insurance for its students. It is REQUIRED that all students be covered by their own family insurance policies and if injury occurs, it is understood that the student’s own policy is the ONLY source of reimbursement.

COVID-19: Artistry Dance Alliance will continue to stay up-to-date with guidelines and recommendations, making adjustments to protocols as necessary to keep dancers and families as safe as possible. It is understood that there are possible health risks associated with participation in in-person classes.

Make Up Policy

Dancers who miss class will have two weeks to attend a make-up class. They may attend any other class in their age group or recommended to them by their instructor. This is the responsibility of the parent and dancer to make up the class. Tuition will not be prorated due to a missed class or holiday nor will tuition be refunded if you’ve already paid the month.

Class Drop

A dancer may drop a class or classes with 30 days notice. The student will be able to attend their classes for those next 30 days, and the account will also be charged for this time.

Any student that drops all classes and then wishes to re-enroll within the same year will be charged the registration fee again.

Accounts on auto-withdrawal will NOT be refunded for months not attended if we do not have a written request to drop classes.

To drop a class or classes, please contact the studio.

Costumes

Pricing for parades and community performance outfits will vary depending on event, but will be between $30 and $80. There will only be one costume for these performances (no costume changes).

Recital Costumes typically range from $70-$90 per dancer, per class. There will be a recital costume for each recital routines (each combo class will have ONE recital routine). We bill for a costume deposit in late fall/early spring. Costume fees are non-refundable! Dancers will not receive their costumes until balance is paid.

Company members will also need to purchase costumes for competitions. These purchases are separate from recital costume fees.

Social Media

Artistry Dance Alliance is a member of Facebook and Instagram and will occasionally post pictures from classes or events. If you prefer to not have your child's face posted on these two sites, please contact the studio.

Dress Code

Please, review Class Descriptions to find the appropriate attire for each class. Any specific dress code should be viewed as the dancer’s uniform. We will dance the way we look, so please do not show up sloppy or unprepared. Dancers not in uniform will be given a Dress Code Violation Form.

Class Observation

Classes may be observed from the lobby viewing windows only.

Tuition

Tuition should be paid in full within the first week of each month. Any tuition unpaid by the 15th will be charged a $25 late fee.

The full year tuition can be paid at once, up-front and receive a 10% discount. However, these payments will not be refunded if a dancer drops a class or classes. This payment must be made by check.

There will be a $25 service fee for any returned check.

The monthly fee is a flat rate. A dancer's tuition remains the same whether it is a 5-week or 3-week month. Tuition is NOT adjusted for holidays.

Families with more than one child enrolled will receive a 10% discount off the total monthly fee for the second child.

All balances must be paid in full by the final week of classes in May. If any accounts have outstanding balances, the dancer will not be permitted to dance at recital.

**No refunds unless a class/camp/workshop is cancelled. We are happy to extend all payments as credits towards future camps or classes. We do not offer refunds for weather cancellations.

If a refund check is issued to you for any reason, you’ll have 6 months to pick up the check. After that, the refund will be voided and you will not receive the refund.

Pick-up and Drop-off

Dancers should arrive 10 minutes early to class and be picked up within 10 minutes after. After a dancer is dropped off, they will not be permitted to leave the studio until they’re picked up.

Please meet your child at the front door or pick them up at the car drop off. Do not ask them to meet you somewhere else. If you do this, we will have an instructor accompany your dancer. No exceptions.

Parents may not park along the curb in front of the studio for longer than 5 minutes.
